Your trust matters. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it — written in plain language, not legalese.
01Who We Are
This website and service is operated by Great Offers Limited, trading as Little Valet. We are a company registered in England and Wales, with our registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ, and operations based at 274 Kensington High Street, London W8 6ND.
For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018), we are the "data controller" of your personal data. That means we are responsible for how your data is collected, used and protected.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, you can reach us at hello@littlevalet.co.uk.
02What Information We Collect
We only collect the personal information we genuinely need to deliver our service and run our business responsibly.
| Category | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Contact details | Name, phone number, email address, collection and delivery address. |
| Booking details | The items you're having cleaned, brand and model, collection/delivery dates, any notes you share with us. |
| Payment information | Processed securely by Stripe on our behalf — we do not see or store your full card details. We only receive a confirmation of payment and the last 4 digits of the card used. |
| Communications | Messages you send us via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and our replies. |
| Photographs | Before and after photos of your items, taken for quality-control and record-keeping purposes. We may ask your permission separately if we'd like to use these in marketing. |
| Website data | Information about how you use our website, including pages visited, approximate location, device type and how you arrived at our site. See the Cookies section below. |
We do not ask for, and do not need, information about any children or the contents of your home.
03How We Collect Your Information
We collect information directly from you — when you message us on WhatsApp, call us, email us, or fill in a form on our website. We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit our site, through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7).
04Why We Use Your Information & Legal Basis
Under UK data protection law, we need a "lawful basis" for using your information. Here is how we use each category of data, and why:
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Processing your booking Arranging collection, cleaning, payment and delivery. |
Performance of our contract with you. |
| Communicating with you Replying to enquiries, sending quotes and booking confirmations. |
Performance of our contract, or taking steps before entering a contract. |
| Taking payment Processing your payment via Stripe. |

Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. |
05Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell your data. We never share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We only share data with trusted providers who help us deliver our service, and only the minimum needed:
- Stripe — processes your payment securely on our behalf.
- Operational partners — we use trusted service providers to help carry out collection, cleaning and delivery. They only receive the information needed to do their job (typically your name, address and collection time) and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Google — provides our email, calendar, analytics and advertising measurement tools.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — provides advertising measurement via Meta Pixel, only where you have consented to marketing cookies.
- Professional advisers — such as our accountants, where necessary for compliance and running our business.
- Law enforcement or regulators — where we are legally required to share information (this is rare and would be a last resort).
Some of these providers (notably Google and Meta) are based outside the UK. Where we transfer your data internationally, we rely on approved safeguards — such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework — to ensure your data continues to be protected to UK standards.
06How Long We Keep Your Information
We only keep your personal data for as long as we need it, and never longer than the law requires.
- Customer records & communications: up to 3 years from your last booking, to handle any follow-up questions, repeat bookings, or complaints.
- Financial records (invoices, payments): 6 years, as required by UK tax law.
- Photographs: typically 12 months for quality records. Photos used in marketing (with your permission) are retained until you ask us to remove them.
- Website analytics data: up to 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted or anonymised.
Once we no longer need your data, we securely delete or anonymise it.

08Marketing
We may, in future, send occasional emails or WhatsApp messages about offers, new services or helpful content. We will only do this where:
- You have given your clear consent (for example, by ticking an opt-in box); or
- You are an existing customer and the communication relates to services similar to those you've used, and we've given you a clear, free way to opt out at the point of collection and in every message.
You can unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP to any WhatsApp or text message, clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, or emailing hello@littlevalet.co.uk. We will act on your request promptly.
09Your Rights
Under UK data protection law, you have a number of rights over your personal data:
- Access. You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction. You can ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate or incomplete.
- Deletion. You can ask us to delete your data, unless we're required to keep it (for example, for tax records).
- Restriction. You can ask us to pause how we use your data in certain circumstances.
- Objection. You can object to us using your data where we rely on legitimate interests.
- Portability. You can ask us to send certain data to you or another provider in a structured format.
- Withdraw consent. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time (this won't affect anything we did before you withdrew it).
To exercise any of these rights, please email us at hello@littlevalet.co.uk. We will respond within one month. These rights are free to exercise, and we will never charge you for doing so.
10How We Keep Your Data Safe
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure. These include encrypted connections on our website, access controls on our systems, and working only with reputable providers (such as Stripe and Google) who hold recognised security certifications.
No system is ever 100% secure, but we take our responsibility to protect your information seriously.
11Children's Data
Our service is for parents and carers. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
12Complaints
If you have any concerns about how we handle your data, please contact us first at hello@littlevalet.co.uk — we take every concern seriously and will always try to put things right.
You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at any time:

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law or in how we operate. The current version will always be published at littlevalet.co.uk/privacy/, along with the date it was last updated. Where changes are significant, we will let existing customers know directly.
