Deep cleaning for prams, pushchairs and baby car seats in Bushey, Radlett, Borehamwood and Elstree, Potters Bar, Harpenden and Welwyn Garden City. Collected from your home and returned to your door.
Book via WhatsAppWe drive out from London to collect prams, pushchairs and baby car seats across south and mid Hertfordshire. This page covers the Hertfordshire towns outside St Albans (which has its own page): Bushey, Radlett, Borehamwood and Elstree, Potters Bar, Harpenden and Welwyn Garden City, plus Watford and the villages in between.
The pram problems out here are a little different from central London. Country parks and commons mean clay and woodchip in the wheels rather than city grit, and more families have the space to store a pram between babies, which is where mould starts. Whichever it is, every item gets the same full strip-down clean with baby-safe products at our specialist cleaning facility, and comes back to the same address.
Collection and delivery in WD6 and EN6 is £10, added to your clean in one total price on WhatsApp.
Collection and delivery is included in one total price, confirmed on WhatsApp before you book. It depends on where you are and what you are booking, so we quote it rather than publish a figure that might not fit.
We drive out to Hertfordshire on evening and weekend runs and collect from your door. We let you know the day on WhatsApp, and roughly when it will come back.
A pram and baby car seat together (£119), or a full travel system (£149), is the best value when we are driving out to you.
What we know about each town, from the roads we drive in on to the parks your pram has probably been round.
We reach Bushey and Bushey Heath off the A41 from north west London. The Bushey Rose Garden on the High Street, designed by Thomas Mawson in 1912 and restored in 2010, has pushchair friendly paths and toilets. Up on Bushey Heath, Warren Lake is a quieter walk.
Worth knowing if you take the train: Bushey station, on Pinner Road in Oxhey, has no step free access, so plan for stairs with a pram.
Radlett runs along Watling Street, the A5183. Phillimore Recreation Ground off Gills Hill has over 10 acres, a play area, a café, toilets and pushchair friendly paths. Radlett station has step free access to platform 1 for trains towards London only, so the return platform is the one to plan around.
Borehamwood sits just west of the A1, home to Elstree Studios on Shenley Road. Aberford Park, beside Tykes Water off Brook Road, has a playground, a sensory play area and pushchair friendly paths. Elstree and Borehamwood station on Allum Lane is step free to all platforms.
Aldenham Country Park on Aldenham Road is where many local prams get their worst of it. The farm paths are concrete, but the Lakeside trail and the 100 Aker Wood trail are compacted earth and woodchip that turn very muddy after rain. Mud dries into the wheel hubs and brake mechanism, so it is worth a proper clean rather than a hose down.
Potters Bar sits on the old Great North Road between M25 junctions 23 and 24. Oakmere Park has its Victorian lakes, a play area and a 1.4 kilometre accessible route, and Furzefield off Mutton Lane combines King George V Playing Fields, with two play areas, and Furzefield Woods.
At Potters Bar station the platforms are reached by long, steep ramps from the subway, so a heavy travel system can be hard work.
Rothamsted Park is a five minute walk from the station, with a playground in three age zones and the Lime Tree Avenue. Harpenden Common runs south from the centre through woodland and heath to Southdown Ponds. Harpenden station is step free to all platforms, and Thameslink runs straight into London.
The town was planned around Parkway, almost a mile of lawns and lime trees, and the Town Centre Gardens have pushchair friendly paths. Stanborough Park has two lakes, a play area and the Splashlands splash park, open from Easter to September, and Sherrardspark Wood is ancient oak and hornbeam woodland. The station sits inside the Howard Centre and is step free to all platforms, though the Howard Centre lift is not available after 19:15.
Prams in Hertfordshire are often stored in a garage, shed or loft between babies. Damp and still air is how mould starts, usually in the seams of the hood, under the carrycot mattress and in the harness padding. Our guide to mould on prams shows what to look for. We photograph every item when it arrives, and add our mould treatment (+£19) when it is needed.
If a wheel, brake or harness has given up in storage, we can fit replacement parts at the same time through our pram repair service.

We also collect across St Albans and north London.
